A Farm Market Is Coming to Mount Salem Kitchen
Mount Salem Kitchen was born with modest roots. As the sister company to our Austrian-focused winery Mount Salem Vineyards, we began by selling a few Central European food products to complement our wine. And why not? They were easy for us to make, distinctive, and tasted great with a crisp glass of wine.
However, much has changed since the day we thought, “We might have something here,” as our first product, our Liptauer cheese spread, flew off our Mount Salem Vineyards’ shelves. They’ve changed so much that now, we are converting the first floor of our wine barn into a farm market where our guests can purchase all 11 of our products, including sauces, seasonings and even a cookbook.

On top of that, we’ve seen demand for our products skyrocket as people have sought locally-made comfort foods, plus, we’re now a proud member of the Hunterdon County 579 Trail, a guide to the array of farms, markets, vineyards clustered along historic County Road 579, and we want to make it as easy as possible for visitors to try our unique portfolio of food items.
So, the first floor of our wine barn, which has held wine barrels, tanks, winemaking equipment and bottles, will become a one-stop-shop for everything Mount Salem Kitchen by the end of August.
