During COVID-19, many of us have found ourselves away from our bustling offices and instead, confined to our homes for our 9-5 workdays. Our colleagues accessible to us only through a computer screen, it’s created an environment that couldn’t be less conducive to the productive business we’re used to.
However, with the outdoor, private lunches available at Mount Salem Kitchen – held under a tent in our meadow with sweeping views of the surrounding fields and vineyard – you can connect with your colleagues or clients and also enjoy a personalized menu of food and wine, finished and served in our summer kitchen and accompanied by our winemaker. (These lunches are also great for birthdays and other personal events!)

Although we are a Central European-focused winery and food business and specialize in Austrian and Hungarian cuisine, we’re true chefs here and we can create fare including that of Italian, French, Spanish, Polish, Thai and American Creole.
Just recently, we hosted an event which the host asked to be “authentic and ethnic, with a touch of Oktoberfest.” A few of the dishes we created for it included housemade speck on rye with ricotta, bacon-wrapped prawns with Alpine seasoning, tyrol goulash, spatzle, schokoladenkekse (chocolate covered wafer cookies) and more.
