As many of us are returning to the office and our schedules are once again filling up with things to do, our kitchens are lacking some love. Gone are those endless hours to try new dishes, keep at work over the stove and dream up new recipes. But our expert culinary team at Mount Salem Kitchen is here to help.
Each week, we are releasing a new “What To Cook” dinner package, which will include a recipe, difficult-to-source ingredients, Mount Salem Kitchen products and a bottle of our wine to cap it all off. These dinners will be easy enough to create for a work night – as well as cost-efficient – but also elegant enough for a weekend get-together with guests.

You can expect these meals to be flavorful, but also healthy. Case in point? Our first dinner we’re offering this week is grilled salmon and roasted asparagus, both dressed with our Haus Sauce, served with steamed wild rice sourced from Minnesota and Wisconsin. Paired with it is our flagship 2018 Blaufränkisch Reserve, a deep, dark wine – it’s Austria’s best-known indigenous red – that clearly conveys the terroir here on Mount Salem.
With this package, you’ll receive the recipe, a pound of wild rice, a bottle of our Haus Sauce (made from Dijon mustard, Worcestershire, oil, lemon juice and a variety of spices), and a bottle of the wine. Expect to feed four hungry people, all without hours in the kitchen.
