Join Us For Our Second-Ever Virtual Wine Dinner This Saturday
With Central European backgrounds ourselves and being that our winery sits on soil very similar to that of winegrowing regions of Austria, here at Mount Salem Vineyards and Kitchen, we tend to focus on Central European wine and food.
However, for our second-ever virtual wine dinner – our new way to release our award-winning wines to our friends and customers along with some amazing food – we’re going to Italy. Northern Italy, to be exact, with a classic meal of the region that’s ideal for cooler months.
What it entails
To celebrate the release of our 2019 Barbera, a classic example of an Italian wine, we will host a virtual wine dinner this Saturday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m.

The $75 meal, plus tax, for two will include one bottle of wine; assorted olives; cannellini soup with pancetta and cabbage; lasagna made with duck Bolognese sauce and fresh, handmade pasta; Taleggio, a soft, Northern Italian cheese and crostini; and, for a sweet finish, artisanal Belgian-style chocolate truffles from local chocolatier Chocodiem.
How to join in
Guests can reserve their meal by Friday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m., pick it up anytime Sat., Nov. 7 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and then enjoy their wine dinner alongside us and other guests virtually through Zoom, including a toast at 6 p.m., an introduction and question and answer session.
We want to make sure our guests are fully immersed in the Mount Salem Kitchen experience – and that includes sound. So, the dinner will be accompanied by a playlist which captures the eclectic Mount Salem Kitchen vibe – ensuring that for just a few hours, you can feel like you’re back at our farmhouse, enjoying some good food, good wine and good company.
Want to join in on our virtual wine dinner? Reserve your meal by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 by calling 908-735-9359 or emailing info@mountsalemkitchen.com.
Can’t make it this weekend? We plan to host two dinners per month through March – keep watch on our social media pages for information about the next one.
